I must have installed and re-installed 10 times with various issues, but the most common was boot to a black screen on both monitors and video card fan goes quiet. It turns out that When I unplug one of the DVIs then plug it back in again, bot monitors display the desktop as expected at full resolution. Now every time I reboot I have to go around the back and do the unplug, plug back in of one DVI ports, very annoying.

I have used Multibeast 3.20 with the following options;
Easybeast
System Utilities
VoodooHDA 0.2.72
Chameleon 2.0 RC5 r700

Relying on nothing but GraphicsEnabler=Yes for video drivers.

I think it's just an ASUS issue, I will give the Sapphire a go, there is no room for brand loyalty when building a hackintosh.

Went out and bought a Sapphire 5770 Vapor-X, did the re-install and guess what ...
Still the same issue, anyhow, I like the Sapphire better than the ASUS.
Tried the following and it resolved the issue for me;

Edit the com.apple.Boot.plist file, add the following lines;

<key>Graphics Mode</key>
<string>2560x1600x32</string>

Boots up and works fine now. ASUS 5770 going on ebay now.
