ATI 4850 Dual DVI->VGA Display?

I have my ATI 4850 working under 10.6.7, however OSX does not provide me with an option to extend my display onto my second monitor. This is properly because it only detects one of the DVI ports on the card in system profiler. It also detects a Display Connector port which I do not have. Also to note, it automatically mirrors the displays and I am using DVI to VGA dongle on both ports.

Is there any solution to this? Different device ID?

hi,
ive got the same vendor id (powercolor 4830) and i use the netkas kexts.
with the latest netkas 10.6.4 pkg i can only change the resolution by boot.plist (Graphics Mode ...) on DVI and VGA.
can you use dvd player or play videos on vlc ?
ive got only black screen and an error on dvd player start.
which aticonfig framebuffer do you use / do you use graphicsenabler?
