Simulating Windows 8 is not always the best choice. Try with different "OS Check Fix" (eg. Win7 or Win Vista).

But I also run windows 8.1, is it okay that I use another OS Check Fix?

Also, do I need to patch DSDT from the start or just remove the Windows 8 OS Check Fix and patch another OS Check Fix?

The Windows version you're running in dual boot is irrelevant to what we do with OS X.

If you know how to remove it, remove it and apply a different one. My guess, due to the fact you're asking this question, is that you don't know how to undo the effects of the patch.

I think it's solved by making XWAK do nothing as said in a El Capitan thread
