Well the screen freezes at the Welcome , please choose your country and click continue. But I can't bypass that screen, I can move my mouse and all, Just not click or do anything. this is post installation.

Any luck with this? I have exactly the same problem on my hp pavilion elite e9107c desktop.

Have you tried connecting an external USB keyboard? I was installing Lion on my laptop and I had to connect an external USB keyboard to go beyond Lion's "Select Country" screen.

Also, after the install the first thing is go to System Preferences, Trackpad and make sure a check appears in the box for "Clicking". Initially the box was not checked and it took me some time to discover why I could move the arrow but not "click" using the trackpad.

This person successfully installed on the U56E, but the posts ceased in August.
