ASUS Sabertooth z77, ML 10.8.3 Rear Audio not workin

Just installed ML 10.8.3 on ASUS sabertooth z77 with i7-3770k. Followed this wonderful guide from evanhindra ( http://www.tonymacx86.com/user-buil...-asus-gtx-gtx680-dc2t-2gd5-os-x-10-8-2-a.html )

Everything seems to work fine, headset plugged into front panel works (both output and input). However no sound is coming from my speakers which is plugged into the I/O rear audio jack. First build so I don't have a clue how to approach this issue. I appreciate the help.

have you checked in sys prefs>sound>output to make sure the device for sound output is correct?

AppleHDA/front ports (pink and green) mute back ports (pink and green).

Yeah I checked the preferences and everything no sound. I ended up using a stereo audio (green jack) to usb adapter and speakers work now. I happened to have one from my old logitech headset
