Asus ROG Maximus X Code not compatible with WD HDDs...

Put together 2 Hacks (one for me...one for the wife). Everything works extremely well except the pair of Western Digital HDDs (6TB spinning drives). Sometimes they work perfect....sometimes after a reboot/restart they will not show up and fail when we try to initialize them. Sounded a LOT like the ICH10 problems I see some having....but none of the fixes have helped. Oddly her older Hitachi 5TB HDD works flawlessly. What has me crazy is that the WD HDDs work once in a while. Any ideas? I posted in the ICH10/ IO error threads without a response. Hopefully someone can help. Thanks.
