Asus Q501LA Kexts not Loading

I have updated my laptop (Haswell) from El Capitan to Sierra. In the process, I needed to change osxaptiofix to osxaptiofix2. Unfortunately it appears than none of the kexts in "other" are being loaded during boot. The kexts are for wifi, sound, keyboard function keys... Any ideas as to why no Kexts appear to be loading.

Did you install FakeSMC.kext to the system volume?

Found that I needed another patch for the wifi card and now it works.

"Broadcom WiFi BCM94352 requires an additional patch

The patch was created by the-darkvoid.

eg. in KextsToPatch:
Comment: AirPortBrcm4360 - fcvo, 10.12.x (credit the-darkvoid)
MatchOS: 10.12.x
Name: AirPortBrcm4360
Find: <81f952aa 00007529>
Replace: <81f952aa 00006690>

If it worked in El Capitan, make sure you reapply all of the applicable patches (if you're using the non-persistent method). If that doesn't work, try a simple cache rebuild & disk permissions rebuild (w/ something like Kext Wizard)...

It is the only correct place to install patched AppleHDA.kext. Other audio kexts (AppleHDA injectors, CodecCommander, VoodooHDA, etc) can go to /Library/Extensions.
