Not sure if this will help, but perhaps it might. The chipset controlling your USB 3.0 is the ASMedia1042 chipset... download the attached zip file from the link and it should help get your USB3.0 working.

I'll try to get in touch with this, but without success. Using Unibeast and Sierra, but the verbose hangs on networt (Intel i210) initialisation.
Any idea on this? Some hints or spical boot args would be nice. I tried cpus=1, npci=0x2000, PCIRootUID=1, IGPEnabler0No, GraphicsEnabler=No.
I also disabled the ethernet devices in BIOS, same result. Maybe it's not the ethernet?

Been trying for 4 days to get a Seirra Hackintosh running on m p9x79-e ws with no success. Used this guide https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...og-maximus-viii-hero-i7-6700k-gtx-980.197284/ plus many other guides. Always get stuck on Intel i210. I think it's a graphics related issue. Maybe it's because I have two graphics cards installed? Can't easily take one card out because they are in a water cooled setup.

I got this working with a 4930K. All is good except for USB3. Does anyone have this motherboard and have USB3 working properly?

I had it working through High Sierra, probably 10.13.4. Then I built a new Hackintosh and sold off that one. I don’t see why 10.13.6 wouldn’t have worked, and even Mojave.

Thanks! A friend is sending a copy of 10.8 - fingers crossed. If it doesn't work I'll try it on a Thinkpad T410s
