i dont think the DSDt on the forum are edited ,so most probably why they dont work ,you need to patch them .

Hi,
my chameleon.boot.plist is a little different than yours and i'm using a own autopatched DSDT but with the downloaded version system doesn't boot.

You can try the DSDT and SSDT-1.aml I attached with my post, with a generic i7 2600K SSDT.

As long as you have used SpeedStepper or a patched BIOS, my DSDT and SSDT-1 should work, it is generic for the P8P67-M PRO. I did not customize it.

Thank you for your offer but with your SSDT I get a KP at Apple login.
So the best is for me i'm using still my own DSDT and System runs fine with my Turbosettings and patched BIOS. :wave:

Hi guys,

Following the mass release of ASUS 1155 DSDTs on the DSDT database, I just had to give my motherboard’s released DSDT a shot (with a generic i5 2500K DSDT).

Unfortunately, it gets stuck at "Still waiting for root device". No boot options specified other than darkwake=0.

Have tried tweaking the following boot args:
- npci (0x2000 and 0x3000 cause boot to get stuck at a PCI error)
- cpus=1 (no change observed)
- DropSSDT=No GeneratePStates=Yes (no change observed, but just wary of 10.7.4)

Same result for me on a P8P67 Pro, tried the same boot args as you did...

Fingers crossed, will give it a shot. Windows for BIOS flashing, Mac OS X for everything else!

Thanks for your help, if I don’t report back, I’m fighting Chameleon!

samisnake,

Your DSDT works great. Replaced the DSDT, double-flashed the patched 3K bios, and it boots great.

My overclocked turbo-states (PStatesReached: 16 34 38 40) are working with my edited SSDT, will try out the generic 10.7.4 Sandy Bridge SSDTs in a minute.

One last question: Do I still need the USB sleep fix SSDT?

Alright, I think you guys have hit the jackpot.

Using samisnake’s soon-to-be stock DSDT + MultiBeasts’s stock i5/i7 overclocked SSDT, SpeedStep, turbo-states and sleep work.

Code:
PStatesReached: 16 17 18 19 20 34 38 40 42

Very good. Perfect MultiBeast UserDSDT install. Thank you guys for the hard work, I can’t thank you enough.

Here is the boot.plist I am using with Chameleon:

Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs$
<plist version="1.0">
<dict>
        <key>EthernetBuiltIn</key>
        <string>Yes</string>
        <key>Kernel</key>
        <string>mach_kernel</string>
        <key>Kernel Flags</key>
        <string>darkwake=0</string>
        <key>Legacy Logo</key>
        <string>Yes</string>
        <key>Timeout</key>
        <string>1</string>
        <key>UseKernelCache</key>
        <string>Yes</string>
</dict>
</plist>

Very minimal, very clean, very happy user :)
