I installed Snow Leopard with TonyMac's guide and all went well - except for the issue of the sound. So I upgraded to 10.7.1 but the problem persists. At the first startup the Audio worked without the need for a Kext as I am using a Firewire Edirol FA-101 sound interface.

I have tried installing the various Kexts using MultiBeast, after removing the previous ones from S/L/E/ with no luck. Tracks in iTunes skip and my projects in Logic have soft crackling in the background.

Am I forgetting to delete a certain Kext? Here are the ones I am wondering about:
AppleAVBAudio.kext
AppleFWAudio.kext
AppleUSBAudio.kext
AudioIPCDriver.kext

Should these be deleted as well?

I have searched and 'exhausted' forums addressing this issue with no luck. Please advise!

i have the same board, and had the same problem, except mine was limited to 10.6.8
oodoohda 2.7.1 solved it for me

Thanks! I have tried installing the 64 bit boot. [EDIT] Didn't fix it

I will try that momentarily and post it here [EDIT] 2.7.1 Didn't fix it

Did you delete any of the Audio Kexts I mentioned?

nothing deleted at all

is 2.7.1 the first one in multibeast?

im not on mac atm to check multibeast. its the first voodoohda option in multibeast.

0.2.1 is the one i use.
got a bit confused on the numbers

for some reason the system preference menu for vooodohda wont work, but the audio will be perfect.

had issues with any of the other versions, the oldest one in multibeast works best.
