This post will end up as a kind of guide on how to install Mavericks on ASUS P6T6 WS Revolution

Spec's:

MB: ASUS P6T6 WS Revolution (http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P6T6_WS_Revolution/)
CPU: Intel Core I7 960 @ 3.2 Ghz
RAM: 12GB Ram in Tripple channel mode (Kingston KVR1333D3E9S/4G) (http://www.kingston.com/us/memory/search/Default.aspx?DisPartId=KVR1333D3E9S/4G)
GPU: Club 3D 9800GT Green Edition (http://www.club-3d.com/index.php/products/reader.en/product/id-9800gt-green-edition.html)
HDD: ??
DVD: ??

Have an extra GFX on hand if I can get it to run in SLI mode.

NOTE: You will need another mac to make the USB stick, to my best knowledge Apple have stopped selling disc's. If you know someone, that might know someone, that has a mac and are willing to let you loan it for 30-45 mins you are in luck.

Step1: Create an bootable USB stick with Mavericks Installer. I found this youtube video very helpfull: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-9t5E6nRVHQ

Step 2: Create an Iboot disk (need to figure which one.... chipset is codenamed Tylersburg)

Step 3: Go in to BIOS and load defaults.

Step 4: Go to Main (still in bios) -> Storage Configuration -> Sata -> Set to AHCI

Step 5: Go to Tools -> Express Gate -> Disable (no need for it to waste time to find the express gate partition)

Step 6: Save and exit

Step 7: Load the IBoot cd and boot from it by pressing F8

Step 8: When Iboot cd has done its thing insert the USB key and press F5 to refresh.

Step 8: Select the new item that appeared but do no hit enter yet

Step 9: Enter the following (a small box should appear):

Step 10:

Q: Given my chipset is codenamed Tylersburg ... which Iboot disk would be best suited?

tried bootflags:

-x -v -f acpi=off PCIRootUID=1 GraphicsEnabler=No
-x -v -f acpi=off dsdt=null ncpi=0x2000
-x -v -f acpi=off dstd=null npci=0x2000 GraphicsEnabler=No
-x -v -f acpi=off npci=0x2000 GraphicsEnabler=No
-x -v -f acpi=off archí386 npci=0x2000 GraphicsEnabler=No

For the fun of it I tried my snow leo disc i use for my macbook... same outcome

Tried to pull everything out except one stick of memory and the GFX card

Now no matter what boot flags i use i get the dreaded ACPI error.... look at pic

-x -v -f acpi=off
-x -v -f acpi=off npci=0x2000
-x -v -f acpi=off npci=0x2000 PCIRootUID=1
-x -v -f acpi=off npci=0x2000 PCIRootUID=1 dstd=null

anyone have an idea of why it fails? it fails both snow leo and mavericks...

i'm happy to provide more info but have no idea what that should be
