Hi, i have Mountain Lion successfully installed at my Asus P6TSE with ATI HD 6870. But the problem is that i dont have any sound, so i try a lot of things...

i followed this instruction from another forum:
(http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/to...rking-kext-on-mountain-lion-and-snow-leopard/)

edit DSDT pointing to 99 (hex 63) layout ID, as on the HDEF text file attached
- install AppleHDA.kext attached
- cache rebuild
- reboot

So i convert DSDT.aml File to DSDL.dsl and edit it with TextMate. After that i convert it back to DSDT.aml . But now in the new DSDT.aml File, nothing getting changed.

"layout-id",
Unicode ("c"),

and this is what i want and changed before:

"layout-id",

Buffer (0x04)
{
0x63, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00
},

I hope that somebody can help me. i attached my original dsdt file.

According to Asus, your motherboard has ALC1200 audio.

Here is a solution that does not need a modified DSDT: http://www.osx86.net/downloads.php?do=file&id=3230

It uses an enabler kext instead of modifying the DSDT. Use KextBeast or other kext installer to install these kexts.

Before you install, be sure that you have deleted all of your previous attempts at sound. Delete all ALC* and HDA* kexts as well as VoodooHDA.kext so that they won't conflict.

Thank you sooo much! It works :) Yeeeeeeeepppppeeeee!!!!

Hi, would you please tell me what was the exact install guide you used? I'm trying to install Mountain Lion myself and I don't really trust the other guides as you have the same motherboard as I do. Because at least I know that guide worked for you. Please and thank you!

Any way to get sound work on 10.8.5?

boom!
thanking you kindly
