Hi everybody. I've searched a lot and I have not found nothing about this. I'm in Mavericks 10.9.2.

GPU: Asus GTX 770 2Ghz
MB: Gigabyte Z77 DS3H rev 1.0
CPU: i5 3570k

When running video programs, i've discovered that my GPU throttles to...7.01 Ghz!!! Is it dangerous? Is it real? Or is a power management fail?

I know that GTX 770 have some problems with the power management, but if it's not dangerous for my GPU, i won't worry about that.

Thank you and sorry about my english...I'm from Spain ;D

I don't know if i posted in the wrong. I'd only like to know if someone has the same GPU and it throttles to 7.01 GHz, and if it's dangerous for my GPU or not.

im pretty sure that the 770 mem has a high clock double check with asus on there website but i would not worry about it if you have tested in windows before installing OSX.

I checked all my overclocks and settings in W7 before installing OSX and OSX says im running a core voltage of 1.635 and im nowhere near that with my OC.

I just looked up that stock memory clock for the basic 770 and it is 7010Mhz, so you are fine it is running stock
