Hi, while googling for help, I came across your super helpful forum. I'm hoping you guys could help me out with my installation.

I have the following:

Z68 E3G3 - 3.20 modded bios
AMD 6970 (not installed, currently using onboard hd3k)
8gb ram
i5 2500k

..and that's it! My plan is to get everything working w/ the onboard and then install the 6970. What exactly (seriously, explain like I'm 5) would I need to do for that to work, or is that specific card a simple no-go?

But before that, I need to get this up and running, so lets focus on that too.

So far..

-Installed the modded bios (3.20)
-Changed the settings to recommended
-Installed OSX
-Extracted DSDT and saved.
-Posted this thread.

Thanks to anyone who helps out! Hopefully I can get someone to edit a DSDT for me or help me with getting this up and running correctly.

1, Set the BIOS as per below.

Advance > Advanced\North Bridge Configuration
Primary Graphics Adapter > IGPU*
Share Memory > 64MB*
Render Standby > Disabled*

Advanced\South Bridge configuration
Deep Sleep > Enabled in S5*

Advanced Storage Configuration
SATA Mode > AHCI*
Hard disk SMART > Enabled*

Advanced\Super IO config > Serial Port - Disable

Advanced ACPI conf
Suspend to RAM > Disabled*
ACPI HPET Table > Enabled*
RTC Alarm power on > by OS*
reset of the option here is disabled.

Not so imp settings but runs the build super quite. Once you bootin fans are controlled by OSX.
HW Monitor
CPU FAN > Level 2
Chassis fan settings > Level 4

2, Download the attached DSDT file unzip it and keep it on the desktop.
3, Run the latest multibeast for Mountain lion with below options checked and reboot.

Note: If you are using a SSD make sure you check Disk > TRIM > 10.8.3

Thank you! Do you have any idea how to get the 6970 to work? Is it just compatible with ML, or is there some trick to it? I'd like to know before I go through the trouble of putting it back in. Thanks!

1, Complete the Mountain Lion installation and multibeast installation on HD3000.

2, Shutdown the machine install the GPU 6970.

3, Turn on the machine change these BIOS settings.

Advance > Advanced\North Bridge Configuration
Primary Graphics Adapter > PCI*
Share Memory > AUTO*
Render Standby > Disabled*

When you reach the tonymac boot icon hit any key to interrupt the booting and type GraphicsEnabler=No and hit enter.

You should be able to boot into OSX just fine.

Run multibeast with only below option checked and reboot, this time you should be able to boot into OSX just fine without typing any flags.
