ASmedia Usb 3.0 controller in Sierra?

Has anyone managed to get the ASmedia 1042 usb controller to work in Sierra? My x79 Sabertooth has this chip. Usb 2 ports are Intel chipset, so they work natively. But I can't get any usb 3 ports to work.
I even have a pcie usb 3 card, but that doesn't work either.

Anyone got a fix for it?

All other things work fine so far as I could find.

Have you installed Rehabman's branch of GenericUSBXHCI.kext? It should fix the problem. You can download it from https://bitbucket.org/RehabMan/os-x-generic-usb3/downloads/. The newest version is from Dec. 2015, but it still works for most people.

i got it fixed by using multibeast to install 3rd party usb 3.0 kext, and it works like a charm....

Hi, I have an Asus Z87-Plus, and struggling to get USB fixed now both under Sierra, High-Sierra AND Mojave too. Any change u still have that 3rd party kext? ;-)
