AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext for 10.7.4

I have Intel Core i5 2500k with GA-z68AP-D3 Rev. 1 board with 10.7.4 running mac os
I just want to know is it necessary for me to install AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext.
I have not installed... please help.. is it necessary.....

This kext is installed by the OS X installer as a kext in S/L/E.

Are you talking about a patched version?

If you use a DSDT, then no, you do not need to install a patched version.
