This pertains only to people that are running a GIGAGYTE Sandy Bridge motherboard with an Apple Wired Keyboard paired with a USB mouse.

what could it be ...

I have the Apple wired keyboard and a USB Microsoft wireless mouse. The mouse is "plugged" into one of the ports on the keyboard, which plugged into the motherboard I/O. The computer sleeps fine and wakes fine, but obviously neither the keyboard nor the mouse works upon wake.

This afternoon I mouse directly into the motherboard I/O and had nothing plugged into the keyboard. When it woke from sleep the mouse worked fine - not the keyboard. What could be causing the keyboard to have issues?

ok so tell us what to do ?

I have this same issue both with the use of a Microsoft USB mouse, or with a Magic Trackpad. I can use the keyboard's buttons to wake the computer, but after that it's non-responsive until it's re-plugged.

Two thoughts:

1) Is it possible this could be a BIOS issue somewhere?

2) Maybe Apple's 3.3v/5v USB ports are interfering?

It's just so strange that everything works perfectly except for being able to use the keyboard after waking up the Hack...
