In its typically low key way, Apple has released a new SKU of its Thunderbolt Display with the product code MC914LL/B. The new SKU doesn’t appear to have received any major upgrades over the previous MC914LL/A SKU, in fact, so far only one minor change has been noticed.
It’s not even a physical change to the display itself, but rather the inclusion of the $10 MagSafe 2 adapter to make the Thunderbolt Display compatible with Apple’s latest MacBook Pro’s. Beyond this, it’s not clear if Apple has made any additional changes to the monitor, but if you were hoping for USB 3.0 support, then we’re sorry to let you down, as Apple doesn’t appear to have made any changes to the internal hardware.
