Apple Updates 15" MacBook Pro and 5K iMac with Broadwell CPUs and AMD R9 Graphics

Sad that the HDMI connector on the 15" Retina isn't getting any love. It'll force 5K @ 60Hz through the mini DisplayPort, but the HDMI won't even do 4K @ 60.

Huh, 5K over DP? Is this the first DisplayPort 1.3 chip on the market?

Edit: Apple's spec says 5120 by 2160 over a single cable. DP 1.3 supports 5120 x 2880 over a single cable. What's going on? This is definitely higher than the DP 1.2 spec, but not higher than the 1.3 spec?

Are we sure about the Broadwell? I'm reading on other sites it is not

Glad to see putting newer hardware in there machines. Tony any chance AMD cards may get better OSX support now in Custom Mac community? The machine with an R9-270X a client is using can only display to one monitor. :-/
