Hi, I have a working OS X el Capitan installation with this specs:

4790k
z87x ud7 th
GTX 970

everything is working great but now i want to use one Apple thunderbolt display, I have seen that it is only capable of running it trough the thunderbolt port of the MB, which is handled by the HD4600.

is it possible to run it through the GTX970? or can I use the Hardware acceleration of the GTX 970 without using the GTX 970 video outputs? thank you

Not sure if it's compatible with your mainboard
They are only compatible with Asus motherboards and require the Thunderbolt header on the mainboard. This is also true with the ThunderboltEX III for Asus Z170/X99/Z270
