Hi guys i have n IR header from an old macbook pro that have red black orange and brown wires... how do i distinguish the 5v, ground and data + , - cables?? hope you guys can help

The colors there are diff from my wires. Can I assume the order of d- , d+ , 5v, g? Where d- is marked with a V at the board?

did anybody used third party remotes (except logitech programmable) with apple ir receiver? i wish i could use my generic philips hdtv remote (not programmable) with mac. any way to do it?

Not sure if this is working. Perhaps you need a third party software therefore. The only one I know is remote Buddy.
But I think the Apple IR is only listing for events send by an Apple Remote.

Are these parts 922-7195, 922-8355 still compatible with Mavericks? Any thoughts?
