App store not connecting 10.6.8

Hi,
I know that this is probably not something for this forum, but the apple support is not getting me anywhere so i felt i may as well ask. nWhenever i try and connect to the app store, it tells me that "Your device or computer could not be verified. Contact support for assistance." I was trying to download el capitan, but it does not seem to be working for me. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

The first requirement is a working Ethernet interface configured as BuiltIn and en0.
After that, a correctly configured SMBIOS.
