App Store "An unknown error has occurred"

I am able to get online (via wifi card) .. i know my password is correct... but when i try to log into the app store i get this error, "An unknown error has occurred"...

I dont get it in my Lion 10.7.4 installation (i have this in a separate hard drive)... Does anyone know how to get around this error?

I am having what seems to be the same problem. Do you have a link to that YouTube video you mentioned?

BTW is it safe to use a real Apple ID? I can't seem to create a new one without having to link it to a Credit Card, the "None" option for payment isn't there anymore.
