My system had been stable for about two days before I plugged in my Apogee Duet (1) firewire interface. I started getting pretty random kernel panics, but never related to use of the device...it just started happening from that point on. I've probably had 4 or 5 today at seemingly unrelated times and tried to repeat the panic with the same sequence of events, to no avail.
I've since unplugged the device and all seems to be well again. I left the Apogee Maestro software and kext files intact, so it's not the software, but perhaps the kext isn't playing nice when it's activated by the device?
I'm not sure what my first step should be. Recording on this machine was supposed to be it's primary function so this is a MUST fix. Any help would be much appreciated.
