Anyone have USB issues when updating to 10.6.8?

I updated from 10.6 to 10.6.8 and ran the IOUSB family and rollback kexts before restart of the combo update. My wireless keyboard and mouse work just fine off the USB wireless router but my thumb drives, and dvd rom drive aren't showing up. This is all I need to fix before updating to Lion. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I had issues and deleting the AppleHPET.kext in S/L/E worked for me. But this was also in Lion 10.7. Seems the kext takes up ICQ addresses and monopolizes/reassigns them and can screw up the USB ports.

Back up the kext and delete and see if it works. Did for me. Let us know.

I got the USB working. It was odd because my usb keyboard and mouse were both working. I just deleted the extra folder and played around with multibeast a little more.
