Anyone get Parallels Desktop 5 work with Snow Leopard?

I'm trying to install Parallels Desktop 5 with Windows 7.

I run the setup but got stop in the middle of the process.
And ask to do the manual installtion. I'm not too sure how to do it.
Anyone can make it to work? OR using VM Ware ?

Any Suggestion?

Thanks in advance

I've used VMWare, but not Parallels, with success. Just to test though- I usually dual boot into Windows 7 if I need some headaches...

Will Boot Camp Works with hackintosh?

How to get the VM Ware to work? Any quick reference? or guide line?

Thanks again :)

I just installed VMWare. installed Windows 7 image, and it ran perfectly just like a real Mac running Windows. ;)

Thanks for the quick reply.

I already got the dual boot working. Mac OSX and Windows 7
in the same hard drive with 2 different partitions.

Thank you very much for the Dual Boot Guide on the Blog.
It's great.

1st partition MAC OSX 2nd partition Windows 7
Is that possible to use the Windows 7 in the dual boot partition?
or I need to re-install the windows 7 on the Vitrual Drive that with the VM Ware ?

I try using the boot camp assistant didn't work for for me.
Boot Camp won't able to load. (Need to update the firmware)

I try the Parallel Desktop 5 (MAC)
During the setup it boot to the terminal but it got locked up on the boot screen.

I will go home and try the VM Ware tonight.

Thanks again =)

Finally I get it to work with Parallel.

Thank you very much everyone =)

I'm stuck at the boot:0 error trying to boot Win 7 from Parallels. How did you finally solved?

EDIT: OK, finally solved. Had to delete all partitions from disk, reinstall SL and W7 and now it works.

I tried but it keeps telling me "BOOTMGR" is missing. What did you do to get it to work? Can you describe your steps. Thanks.

I can't even boot in dvd or iso image to install win7. It's stuck before the loading process begins. Tried to update to newest version of parallels but still no hope. How can you guys install it? :?

Well, you can try with Chameleon RC5 pre8. The advantage of Chameleon RC5 (it is a prerelease) is that you can flag the Win 7 partition as active while booting to OSX as primary operating system. So here are the steps:

1) Delete any virtual machine under P5
2) Uninstall P5
3) Install Chameleon RC5 pre8 to your OSX volume, and without quiting, select your Win 7 partition and flag it active using Terminal (fdisk -e).
4) Reboot and check that OSX starts fine.
5) Install P5 and create Virtual Machine selecting your Boot Camp W7.

Feedback your results!
