I'm looking at doing a Hackintosh for my father, but if it's not like an AIO like his old iMac 24", I don't think he'll go for it. So just wondering if there are any AIO's that can install Mavericks on it, and run smoothly?

It would be like getting a laptop up and running and would be a very 'involved' process. The sort of challenging experience that many enjoy but unlikely to be anywhere near 'simple' and 'quick'.

A better option would be to look at doing some thing like this build:

Just add keyboard, mouse and monitor as required.
