I have a Thinkpad P50, with an XEON 1505M v3 processor, 32GB DDR4 Ram, and three hard drives (2x NVME SSD's, and 1x HDD 7200RPM). The computer has intel graphics (530) and also a dedicated NVIDIA Card.
After many weekends of trial and error, and i am able to boot into the installer for El Capitan. when i try to install the OS to my HDD (installer doesn't recognize NVME drives), I eventually get the error below. I have re-downloaded the installer to try and see if i had a bad version, but so far the results are the same. I have read on this forum that once you're booted into the installer, you're essentially completely reliant upon the installer (meaning if something goes wrong, it's got nothing to do with your computer's compatibility?).
I should note i also used disk utility, within the installer, to format my HDD for the OS X installation.
I have searched the forum quite a bit and am unsure of what to do now. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
