AMD Vega or Nvidia Pascal Card?

From what I've read, it seems like Vega cards work out of the box in High Sierra. Is there any reason to prefer Nvidia cards? Nvidia's web drivers are still kind of buggy, so why does the buying guide not recommend Vega cards at all?

Not true. The only new AMD graphics card that works kinda of natively is the Sapphire RX 580 Pulse 8GB graphics card. The reason is that card is offered by Apple to developers (to buy) in an eGPU peripheral.

The Vega series native drivers are still being developed and are buggy.
