stay away from the xfx 577A cards. they are the ones i was talking about earlier that dont work properly.
you need to flash a stock bios onto them to get them to work.

the xfx 577X cards are fine.

I updated my original post, toned down my assumptions.

I spent several hours looking for an AMD to upgrade my system. I'd like a performance boost but without any issues, as easy as it was with the HD 5770. I looked at HD 5870 and 6870 but I found more that had issues than not. When I did find a card that looked good it was no longer available at the resellers.

This Hackintosh itch is a devil, isn't it. I just wanted to perfect my system with some fine tuning and upgrades. It's already perfect, zero issues and run smooth as silk.
