I'm just going through at this point right now to go with haswell or dual socket lga-2011(xeon).
But right now I'm looking at the firepro as this is what will be in the new mac pros, I have a feeling we'll see w7000 to w9000, maybe the w5000 for the low end.
I'm looking to patch the dual gpu config, but debating if I should go 12-core or standard 6 (which is why I can't yet select a mobo until I decide or if I want thunderbolt I'm stuck with quad-core...)
At the price point $650 getting 2 of these would be great instead of going with 1 w900 which is $3,300.. which is stretching my entire budget on this hackintosh. If it comes to and the new mac pros can be at $3,000 with dual w9000s I won't even bother with a hackintosh but until a price is released all I can do is decide on a build.
I am assuming these will only work in mavericks and not mountain lion?
