ALXEthernet, network crashes when iMessage starts.

I have a Gigabyte Z77-DS3H v1.1, and for the last 6 months its been working great. Until late last night and all of the sudden the network stops working. I am using ALXEthernet 1.0.2 on Mavericks, and in the console I keep on getting the messages,

Hardware Error: error(2) when reset mac

And the network never works. I tried installing AtherosL1cEthernet but that won't load properly under mavericks.
Anyone got an idea why this is happening?

same issue here on a GA-H77m-D3H I've tried older drivers but then the network card doesn't even initialize, I've been reading posts all day, have a few things to try again will let you know if it works, I've also tried the Multibeast 6.0.0 drivers and they work but hangs the system if you transfer files

BUMP?? That kext is improperly installed. I added -f to boot flags and just restarted after manually adding it to Extensions. On 10.9.
