Alternative to Apple TV

I recently updated my CustoMac/Hackintosh to OS X 10.8.x and now I want to take advantage of AirPlay Mirroring on my TV. I do not own an Apple TV, so I thought that maybe there's something out there, either some software for windows or linux, or some hardware, that enables AirPlay and AirPlay Mirroring for the Mac. I tried a plugin for Windows Media Center, but this didn't work.
Is there an alternative for Apple TV, that has the features I need, or do I have to buy an Apple TV?

There is 3rd party software apps that allow you to "airplay" to other audio devices. Check MacUpdate.com and search with the word "airplay".

There are also 3rd party audio systems that support Airplay. Google is your best friend here.

There might be... but for $100 why bother..
With the price of the new iMacs it is almost cheaper to get an off the shelf mac now rather than Hacking them...
I wanted a 6core CPU for video editing .. so still better off hacking (for now)
