all works except sound and mouse???

hey guys.
so first off sound doesnt work.
i did an update following tonymacs guide and it all went well.
however no sound.
any suggestions whatsoever would be greatly appreciated.
now for a wierd problem im sure most of you wouldnt have even considered, my mouse.
the scroll wheel scrolls backwards. this sint normal because on 10.6.8 it worked great.
its not an apple mouse. i dont really mind but its kinda bugging me.
nothing in system preffs that i could find.
again any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Uncheck first option and your mouse shuld work fine.

The sound issue seems similar to the one Gudd is having. Here was a solution I suggested to him and he found it useful. Hope this would help you too

Right, all solved. Looks like either Multibeast wasn't installing the enabler or I wasn't doing something right.

I found a zip on another forum that contained an 'HDAEnabler.kext'. I put that in /System/Library/Extensions', I put the 'AppleHDA.kext' from this thread in the same directory, and the 'ALC8xxHDA.kext' in /Extra/Extensions. Then I ran KextHelper.app and finally just the update caches option of multibeast.

This resolved the issue before I even rebooted. I rebooted though just to be sure and it seems to be fine now.

For the moment my graphics glitches seem to be gone too. I've no idea why they would go then, but they seemed to go when I changed the serial number in the smbios.plist and added the memory speed to the boot.plist. I would think that's coincidence though so I'll keep an eye on that.

okay thanks for all the suggestions guys.
but i didnt need any of them.
it just randomly started working.
so thanks agin but it wasnt needed.
i would be interested in finding out how it just randomly started working.
but im happy it works.
so once again, another 10.7 successful install.
