Hi

My Hackingtosh used to have well working ethernet and Airport, both Broadcom chips. This has suddenly stopped working completely. I'm told that i don't have any cards installed, and when i click System Preferences / Network, this just hangs until i reboot.

I have tried to re-install the kext for BCM440x, but that did not help at all.
I don't recall having installed anything lately.

Any ideas what has went wrong here?

This is very similar to what happened to my desktop Hackintosh. It only happened when I ran automatic updates. It was just easier for me to reload the Mac OS. Everything was herky-jerky after the updates. My computer acted like an install of XP on an old computer that couldn't support more then Windows 98. I just think "The Big Apple" is messing with you. :banghead: posting.php?mode=reply&f=34&t=48552#
