Has Anyone Attempted an Alienware Alpha build?

The new mac mini is so disappointing with soldered ram, underpowered cpu, and under in good concious I cannot support apple buy giving them any more money. I really like the form factor and the midline specs of the alienware alpha, price point is good too.

Think its hackable? Has anyone tried?

I just ordered one - it'll be here tomorrow. I'll give a shot then. Another person tried installing it on the Alpha but has gotten kernel panic and reboots... :\

i followed yours steps when i boot with the flags i get a white screen and the rainbow circle spinning what did I do wrong
