i think its the same chipset as my P8P67 Deluxe, do you use DSDT or HDEFEnabler? i only get insertion errors on AppleHDA loading :/

Need Help!! in System Preferences / Sound / Input
always showing No input devices found

What I am doing wrong ?
Does any one make it worked on this board.

I don't use a dsdt so I used the alc892 enabler (you can find it on multibeast).

it is not working for my ALC892. I have an Asus M4A89GTD PRO/USB3 mobo. I tried every possible combination of multibeast. But I get nothing, also no input devices... whyyyyy??

When I use the voodooHDA272 from multibeast, I get sound but very bad! If I restart the PC and unplug it before I restart, and the plug it back in, it works better... BUT! sometimes it doesn't work and if at that moment I start moving my mouse very quickly in rounds or whatever movement (just quickly) the sounds works back again so the sound to me works with voodoohda272, but something of the system interferes.

I hope this feedback was usefull. keep up the good work and if anybody has an advice on how to improve it, tell me!!

PS I have 10.6.6 64 bit, AMD phenom II x6 (6cores working), builtin ethernet working, wifi WUSB100 working, HD6950 not working (yet )

i found the problem i have, there is a lot of false information about this board in the net, Asus uses ALC889 on the highend boards (P8P67 Deluxe and Maximus Extreme).

Edit:
It *mostly* works for the GA-P55-USB3 Rev2. There is a slight amount of distortion from the front speakers, though.

So far I haven't had a KP or any pops or scratches, though! Definitely a great start!

Edit: Apparently I forgot to rename the DSDT from the database after flashing my BIOS to the new version. Nice driver.

Tested on P55A UD3 and working perfect 5.1

Later I'm going to make easy tutorial

I install 7.1 and create profile 5.1 on manager audio4£

I was wondering, are you altering this ALC892enabler as the test is progressing or are you just taking notes about which motherboard that works and which that don´t work?
I am following this thread with great interest but I don't have the time right now to try it myself. I´m just curious about updates from you and MacMan.
As always im very impressed with your work and the deep knowledge of the workings of OS-X you guys have. Amazing!

I bought a Gigabyte motherboard GA-x58-USB3 with ALC892 and if you have not tried it before I might give it a go in a week or so.
