I updated to 10.7.2 today but of course got click happy and hit restart before running MB. My audio has now died. Where I used to have options for all the different audio options for my board on 10.7.1, I now have Soundflower (2ch) and (16ch), which I have no idea what those are.

I have tried so many things to get the audio back:
Removed AppleHDA, replaced with both MacMan's audio kext and appropriate 892 edit (not using a mod-DSDT file).
Used rollback HDA.
Used Time Machine to get my old .kext file back and then used next utility to install...nada.

It seems that no matter what I install/delete, the AppleHDA file comes back and interferes with whatever kext install I have attempted. I imagine this is why we run MB before we restart.

Anyway, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same problem with my MB Asrock Z68 Pro3.
Reinstalling audio with the latest Multibeast doesn't help either.

I restored the latest 10.7.1 Time Machine system backup until (hopefully) a fix is available.

Thanks for your work!

Anyone get it working. Even my working 10.7.0 kext is not working on 10.7.2, tried the 10.7.2 kext for alc892 on kext.com, doesn't work (tried with/without the dsdt edit posted).

Here is the pin config for my sabertooth x58. need lineout and spdif/hdmi working.

I'm having the same issue with my Intel DH67BL. I didn't have to use any custom DST and everything came up except the sound. Is there a purchasable audio card that is known to work? I've tried every combo with MultiBeast and nothing seems to work. I'm willing to throw money at the problem :)

I finally got the audio to work. Normally with MultiBeast I have never had to use anything but the rollback. However, for 10.7.2 I had to use ALC8xxHDA + AppleHDA Rollback + ALC892 (from the non-DSDT HDA enabler sub-folder). What is odd is that I have a DSDT... Anyway, it was the 1 combo of MB audio kexts I hadn't tried.

Good luck!

Same problem for me and same solution. Am back in 10.7.1.

My 889 audio chipset would not respond to any combination of the HDA injector kexts (none, all, some, etc.) and I have a DSDT for my mobo. Sound is a must, so 10.7.2 will have to wait even though I want to get busy with iCloud.

I'm curious as to what this item means:
MultiBeast will soon support AppleHDA patching for onboard audio- stay tuned!

Yeah, I'm not having luck with any of Multi Beast canned drivers. Please update if someone finds a fix.

Funny mine now works. I restored from my backup image to 10.7.1 and updated with the combo updater to 10.7.2 and I saw there was a new 4.03 multibeast and tried just the rollback and it worked fine on my 892. I dont see anything in the notes to suggest 4.03 would do anything to help sound over 4.02

I seem to have the same Motherboard and Multibeast 4.03 and for me it's still no luck. Annoying. Might have a try at the voodoos. Any chance you could zip your audiokexts and attach them?
