The 889a and 889 are different codecs. The 889a (actually the 885) is native and does not need an enabler.

I have audio when I installed 10.6.8. I have installed 10.7.2 last night, but I lost my audio. I have tried to reinstall the OS and selected ALC8xxHDA, but still no sound.

I have downloaded Mutibeast, but I can find DSDT for GA-EG45M-DS2H. Can I run multibeast without DSDT file? Hope someone can help.

Yes, you can use MultiBeast without a dsdt. Select ALC8xxHDA and AppleHDA Rollback. Do not select any of the non-dsdt enablers. Verify there are no enablers in S/L/E. Restart.

Enclosed pls find the IOReg file for your reference.

There is an enabler installed in S/L/E. You will know it is gone when IOReg/HEF/Credits is gone. Your codec is native and the enabler is not required and interferes with AppleHDA.kext. Remove it and reply with a current IOReg.

In finder go to system/library/extensions, and search for an ***enabler.kext that could be related to sound e.g. 889enabler.kext - this one should be deleted!

Besides, after deleted the xxxenalber, should I run Multibeast again? Or restart computer after deleted the xxxenabler? Kindly advice.

I found HDAenable899a.kext in S/L/E. I have restart after delete it. But still can't find any device on output and input after restart?

The dsdt is fine. Edit HDEF as described here http://www.tonymacx86.com/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=50818. Install the edited dsdt. Download and install AppleHDA.kext as noted. Restart and reply with a copy Of IOReg.
