ALC889 No Sound - Asus P6X58D Premium Mobo. Plz help

Hi guys

Please help me get my sound working

I am running Lion and have tried installing some kexts but they mess up the OS and i have to reinstall because it wont boot up after that..

What I did was install multibeast ALC89XX kext + No DSDT alc899 patch only (not rolback option)...

Get the following panic after that:

I read that before i posted this thread and it did NOT work.
 
I think you will need dsdt then if enabler with that applehda doesnt work. Then you can just replace applehda with every sw update
 
I know this is an old thread, but I think there are some people with trouble trying to fix sound issues in p6x58d premium in ML. After lot of attempts, this is what I did to have it working:

Install chameleon 2.1 r2069 following mayhemm88's guide http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/262250-guide-how-to-install-lion-on-a-p6x58d-premium/

I also used an old 10.6 DSDT from kup and bchemist which I think works OK for 10.8.2 (reply #59 http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/to...asus-p6x58d-premium/page__st__40#entry1419335)

After rebooting, I have everything functional but sound, for which I used this idd's mini-guide (post #1 http://legacy.tonymacx86.com/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=26486) I did as it said, but using mayhemm88's AppleHDA.kext and then installing ALC88xxHDA using an old multibeast 3.8, after rebooting sound was working... so I hope it helps!
