ALC887 Audio not working

Hi
Please can someone guide me to get the audio working on my Asus B365M-A motherboard. It was working fine on Catalina with AppleALC.kext but not working with Monterey. I am using clover and have put AppleALC kext in /colver/kext/others but it does not seem to load.

Have you added a layout-id to your config.plist? As just adding AppleALC.kext to the /CLOVER/kexts/Other folder does nothing without the correct layout-id being specified and injected from the config.plist.

ALC887 can use one of these layout-id's - layout 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 12, 13, 17, 18, 20, 33, 40, 50, 52, 53, 87, 99

All are known to work with this codec, some for very specific systems. You may need to try a few before you find one that works for your system.
