alc 898 audio lag when stream begins

Hey folks,

So a "bug" I've noticed is that when pressing "play" on a media file or so on, the first ~1 second of audio gets cut off/clobbered. If I press "pause" and wait for ~5 minutes the problem will recur. I'm using optical out to a receiver, but I've tested it a little and seems fine, so I think it's the sound card.

Anyone got a hint?

Are you using the green port? Are you using sysdef macpro3,1?

I'm using SPDIF! I believe I'm using iMac 12,2 sysdef. Using the updated drivers didn't solve it...
