Now on to front panel USB3! I think this a problem with pretty much every MoBo, but I figured I'd start here. This is the output of my sys info for the usb. Looks like it's all Intel (but I can't really tell). I've seen a number of 'fixes' so I'm going to give a few a try, if I figure it out, I'll post back here (fyi I have a usb wifi dongle attached at the back which is what you see in WLAN):

I haven't tried getting the front panel USB3 to work. Let me know how it ends.

Alan

Please update your original post with the new components. TIA.

Can you please post a couple of screen shots of the GA-H87TN BIOS. I have the H77TN that I built a hackintosh out of and it works great. Want to see what the difference is between the 2 BIOS.

Thanks!

There you go.

Alan

here is the problem with front panel, due to extra length and lots of suburb el cheapo wire that use to extend from motherboard's pin header to front usb, there is need to add additional buffer, please add a capacitor between VCC to ground on the socket side (solder on),

the min requirement will be 470uF and 10V, (ideally 1000uf 16V, yes 6.3V will work, but do remember that USB is rated 5.5V Vcc nominal and Cap degrade over time, and use 70half-life rate, if heavily use or cheap cap, the 6.3V cap will reduce down to 5.2V over 1 year, so take 10V+ please)

@alancurry
did the sleep function works? i am debating whether ASUS Q87T or GA-Q87TN/GAH87TN
