Built a Airport Card with this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0081X ... 01_s00_i00

and this:

Was low on parts, so I didn't screw the card in or use the shield, just left it sitting under the wires for the time being. Was going to plug it into one of the PCI 3.0 ports on my motherboard (GA-Z77-DS3H), but it didn't fit, so I settled for the port labeled DUAL BIOS. It fit perfectly. Rebooted, looked in system preferences, has a Bluetooth PAN that is my Ethernet, and nothing else. No wifi card. Am I missing something? Everything else I think (Haven't tried sound yet) works and it's really kinda frustrating me lol.

Thanks

I suggest trying to reseat the card and ensure that it is laying flat parallel with the adaptor. Making sure it's not at some angle, which usually indicate the card not seated properly.

I'm assuming you meant you installed the adaptor via PCIe 1x slot (White Color). The Dual BIOS and HDMI are just markings not an indication of the PCI slot.

Though I'm not familiar with the BIOS on your MB, you may want to check that the PCI Slot is enabled.

I have the same WiFi set up and it worked OOB.
