Hello folks,

after I got a desktop pc now I'm again thinking about trying to install Mac OSX onto it as a second OS.

My question is: Does anyone have a similar configuration like me and got it already running?

Config

Motherboard
MSI Z87M Gaming
CPU
i5 4670k
GPU
Asus DC2T R9 280x
RAM
8 GB Kingston Hyper X Beast
HDD
1 TB WD

Hopefully someone got some tips about installing it on my machine. Maybe they're some issues someone had.

Looking forwards of answeres!

none? :/ kay

Last I heard, 280X's don't work with OS X yet.

Hayhay,

am stil ltrying to figure out, how I am able to install Hackintosh on my machine. The Specs have changed a bit.

Mobo: MSI z87m Gaming
CPU: i5 4670k
GPU: Nvidia GTX 780

I can't find anyone with this motherboard, who has installed OSX already. Researches always shows me the "MSI-Z87M-G43".

:banghead: Help, Please.

@ Deen patch your bios with auto patch feature http://sourceforge.net/projects/dpcimanager/ to use chameleon/chimera.option 2 use clover bootloader select uefi/theme u choose/drivers64uefi OsxAptio click install done. now add fakesmc kext to 10.9 folder next move current config to trash then copy/paste new config in done. i edited this config for your mobo/gfx card.

Thanks for your quick reply stehor,

that sounds very promising, I'll have to try tomorrow, as soon I figure out again how this works with chameleon or the other option you mentioned.

Am still pretty new to this topic, but I'll try to read me through it.

Would you recommend option 1 or option 2?

Ty :D

i would use option 2 because many are scared to patch the bios gl

Mhm, thought so.

Btw... Do I need an entire HDD or is it enough creating a new partition?

id use the hole hdd and a 2nd one for windows if needed

Okay,

now I've made the USB-Installer but ran into a problem.

While booting clover up I got several discs to choose. Clicking on the Boot OS Install from Install OS X Mavericks just does nothing for me. The only Thing what happens: Mouse cursor disappears. When I press enter again my cursor appears again. Guess something went wrong with the USB Installer or do I have to use Boot Args? If yes, which ones?
