I just started to install ML onto my new rig.
All was smoothly going, setting up the BIOS, running the USB flash, Unibeast, formatting the SSD, all as planned.
I installed ML without any problem, then I need to run the MultiBeast from a second USB key.
It was mounted but then when I clicked to open, it froze.
I restarted the machine and then big problem.

The Unibeast is kicking, but then I only see the USB drive.
I went again in the BIOS (where I did not change anything, since the first install). And it doesnt see the SSD.

Did I just lost my SSD?
If not present in the BIOS, there is no other solution?
How I could test it?

Thanks for your help.

(I was so happy... all was going so well, until I wanted to apply the MultiBeast..)

Details of my config, in my signature.

Thanks for helping me thinking....

I guess it's solved. I reopened all and checked the cables.
It was a loose cable.

It's been 9 years since the last time I built a PC and we did not have SATA cables back then.
The PATA were much more difficult to plug, but they also sticked in place.

Any recommendation for this issue?

I did not even moved the rig !

Look for SATA cabels with a locking system. These won't go off even when you're dancing with your rig rock'n'roll :)

I did not know it exists.
I'll look for these cable.
(also, I might move the orientation of the SSD in my case.)

Edit:
After looking on the net, these SATA cable with locking clips... They look exactly like the ones provided with the Gigabyte motherboard. :D
I guess I'm good to go.
Maybe it was just not correctly plugged, on first time.
