I was thinking of building a new desktop for my kid and calculated that the parts would be around 1500€ with 27" monitor so I thought I might just buy iMac because the difference is not that bad and it has great display and design. Then again I couldn't upgrade GPU or other parts in it in the future, so I thought if I could make a usable hackintosh by using some of my old parts.

This build would need to be compatible with El Capitan and run Minecraft well.

What I was thinking of buying.

27" 1920x1080 IPS display
Apple Bluetooth keyboard and mouse

Then my old parts which are i5-2500k and GTX 560 TI. Also I have a motherboard for the 2500k but I don't think it had a bluetooth.

Could I get a decent hackintosh build by using the old parts and would I need a new motherboard to get the Bluetooth working? Also would anyone have any suggestions for a good motherboard that has compatible Bluetooth and audio. It would be a plus if it would have wifi and firewire too, but it's not necessary.

Your Sandy Bridge build would work with OS X depending on exact model of board. If it works, and you have a PCIe slot open, purchase a

I got one to go in an IvyBridge build and it shows up as a native Mac Airport Extreme card and has Wifi+BT. The Broadcom card below the heat sink is the same as in a new iMac. To get the best transfer speed from the WiFi you need a modem that handles 802.11 AC

Thanks. Btw, is there any LGA 1155 motherboards that has compatible Bluetooth and maybe Wifi integrated?

Not that I am aware of so far as integrated. The Asus P8P77i Deluxe has a mPCIe WiFi card that can be swapped out for one of the supported WiFi/BT mPCIe cards. Take a look at http://www.tonymacx86.com/network/104850-guide-airport-pcie-half-mini-v2.html and http://www.tonymacx86.com/network/1...apple-mini-cards-pcie-mini-pcie-adapters.html for compatible cards

Ok, thanks for the help :)
