Advice on non PCI-E wifi

I'm in the need to move my desk PC far from any ethernet socket, which means I need to go wireless.

My setup is an Asus H97I-Plus which has a single PCI-E slot and a M.2 slot, in the PCI-E is my GTX 1080 and the M.2 is empty. So I'm looking for advice on a USB or M.2 wifi card that works well in both mac OS and Windows.

You need only 2 things for m.2 slot

Both the above in combination work perfectly on my motherboard's m.2 slot meant for wifi.
Wifi & bluetooth works native. No kexts or patches.

Does it work in windows out of the box?

The M.2 slot on your motherboard looks like it's meant for SSDs.
