Advice on a firewire or thunderbolt card options for GA-Z97M-D3H

Hey,

I wanna get a firewire or thunderbolt audio interface for my GA-Z97M-D3H Yosemite build. But need a working PCI card option and cant seen to see anything on the forum that is a certain.

Any suggestions?

The GA-Z97M-D3H board does not support ThunderBolt, but you can add a Firewire card. See the following thread and do read some of the later pages towards the end of the thread:

I was posted on there last year an found no help or anything that pointed me an direction for something that would work. Was hoping someone the music group might done it with success.

There are a number of possible options - but it does depend where in the world that you are buying as that has a bearing on what cards are actually available at a reasonable cost. Firewire is now considered to be an obsolete technology by those not in music circles.
Many folk have had success with different cards, but you need to see what is actually available local to your self. Can you find the following Syba model - SD_PEX30009?

I can get hold of one in the Uk, But I don't have a spear PCI-E slot.
