Advice needed for my first Hackintosh build!!

hi guys

Im new on this forum and im planning on building my first hackintosh.
This site has really helped me so far but im a lil stuck now, so i would like to know your oppinions on my first build.

Im gonna use it mainly for video editing, and would also like the option to run windows.

I've put together two builds and would love to get some advice on the hardware and if its compatible with the os.


build one

Intel Core i7 3930K Boxed
Asrock X79 Extreme4
Gigabyte GV-N670OC-2GD
Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 ST1000DM003, 1TB
Corsair Carbide 330R
Cooler Master Hyper 412S
2x Corsair Vengeance LP CML8GX3M2A1600C9
Seasonic G-Serie 650Watt
2x Samsung 840 series Pro 128GB

Build two is pretty much the same but with

Intel Core i7 3770K Boxed
Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H


Is the i7 3930k worth the extra money or do you guys have any improvements or suggestions?

Personally, I would go with the Asus P9X79 series before the AsRock boards.
